A Thank You from Richard Mckenzie

Now the election is over I would like to record my thanks to all those that worked so hard to deliver a 600% increase in the Labour vote.

This increase was due to the efforts of my Agent, Veronica Treacher and the Chair of the Henley Constituency Labour Party, Mary Stiles who coordinated a big team all of which gave up their time to ensure that the Labour Party's message was clearly heard across the whole of the constituency. I would also like to thank all those who gave up their time to deliver leaflets, to attend meetings and to talk to their friends and neighbours about the Labour Party's message.

I would also like to thank all those that who took the time to phone me or write. In the period leading up to the election I was receiving over 1,000 emails a month and it was fantastic to receive so much feedback.

We fought the election on the basis that the Henley Constituency had benefited from the Labour Government's management of the economy in difficult times and that Henley needed a fulltime MP. I am proud to have been part of this campaign and proud that the people of Henley listened to our message.

The election is now over and the Henley Party will continue to campaign for a future fair for all.
